Amash Working to Connect Directly with Voters
Thu, Jul 22, 2010
State representative and Third Congressional District candidate Justin Amash stated today that instead of participating in more debates, he will spend the short time remaining before the August 3 primary election talking directly with voters throughout Barry, Ionia, and Kent counties. Amash has participated in numerous debates, forums, and other televised events since announcing his candidacy.
“People are tired of sound-bite debates,” said Amash. “I am honored to be invited, but very little of substance can be said in a short debate answer. I explain every vote I take as a state representative and have discussed my positions on the issues with voters since the beginning of my campaign. It’s important to spend the limited time before the primary sharing my message of limited government, economic freedom, and full transparency with residents who haven’t had the chance to meet me.”
Amash will be hosting a Meet & Greet in Sand Lake, Michigan on July 22 and a Meet & Greet in Middleville, Michigan on July 27.
